Class Descriptions:
CPR/AED
Certification for laypersons includes coverage of the 2015 International Consensus Guidelines for CPR and ECC (Emergency Cardiac Care). Includes clear, concise directions on how to perform CPR and use an AED during an emergency; current core information on injuries and illnesses for those administering first aid; skill drills with step-by-step explanations and visual summaries; and emergency care wrap-up tables with concise summaries of the signs to look for and the treatment steps to take.
Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
Based on the 2015 International Consensus Guidelines for CPR and ECC (Emergency Cardiac Care), this course is designed to certify healthcare providers in CPR and AED. Includes clear, concise directions on how to perform CPR and use an AED during an emergency; current core information on injuries and illnesses for those administering first aid; skill drills with step-by-step explanations and visual summaries; and emergency care wrap-up tables with concise summaries of the signs to look for and the treatment steps to take.
Standard Level First Aid
Designed to certify individuals in first aid and fulfill work place training requirements. Includes current core information on injuries and illnesses presented in a clear, straightforward format; skill drills with step-by-step explanations and visual summaries; and emergency care wrap-up tables with concise summaries of the signs to look for and the treatment steps to take.
Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogens
Meets current OSHA training requirements. Teaches students and employees how to prepare for potential occupational exposure to the HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C viruses via blood or other potentially infectious materials. Includes supplemental information on airborne pathogens such as tuberculosis and other unusual infectious diseases.
